Install Lighting – Use you structure 24/7 !
Lighting is not normally required for daylight operations with fabric structures. If you are operating around the clock we can supply lighting to accommodate this.
LED lights are normally the most cost effective option, more expensive to buy but a lot more economical to run, both in terms of electricity consumption and maintenance costs.
The lights are mounted using saddles to go around the brace bars between the frames. A drop chain 600mm long is attached to this for the light to be secured to. The chain needs to be of high quality, in an open ended structure in dusty conditions a light chain will break within a year. This is due to the constant movement.
The main fabric that is used for the dome type shelters is white on the outside and silver on the inside. This silver finish reflects light well, and alternate to down lights is to place flood lights on the top of the containers. The light will bounce off the internal surface of the structure and give a very even light throughout the structure.
An “S” bracket can be mounted on the ends of the structure frame to mount external floodlights on. The bracket is attached to the frame, it then comes below the flap and back up to a mounting point for the flood lighting fixture.
Electrical cables can be run beside the frames using heavy insulation or in conduit, attached to the frames with cable ties. This makes installing lighting quick and easy. For remote projects these cables can be cut to length from a central control box with three pin locking plugs in the ends, to facilitate the install.
