Installations of Structures – Safety is at the forefront:
The staff of Taurus Fabric Build have been carrying out installations of fabric structures since 2005. The type and locations of these structures have been varied and in this period have built up a wealth of knowledge in the industry.
The Taurus Fabric Build Installations Team are fully ticketed for the Australian mining and industrial sites, with all relevant safety and equipment operation qualifications.
Safety is at the core of their ethos, as when working at heights the risks must be respected. The team members are expected to be part of the decision making group, keeping an eye on one-another and contributing to ways to do the job more efficiently and more safely.
Taurus Fabric Build will carry out installations of structures world wide:
In the past decade Taurus staff have facilitated or installed over one hundred fabric structures across Australia, Africa, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea. They have built up a considerable expertise in working with fabric buildings during this time.
While not bi-lingual we manage installs in areas where English is not spoken with the documentation image rich to facilitate the transfer of knowledge at these installations.
Relocation of Fabric Structures:
Taurus Fabric build can facilitate the packing up of structures for storage or relocation installations. Before boxing all items a complete photographic record of all components is taken and a condition report supplied to the client. Included in this report is a full list of components that are recommended for replacement.
A check list of all components with any recommendations for maintenance prior to reinstallation is also provided. This will ensure the installations team can double check the components when they arrive at the new site.
Points to consider when planning Installations of Fabric Structures:
Access is one of the primary requirements that is needed on all sides of the structure. If access is not available due to limited space then long reach equipment will be required, or a crane with a man cage. These methods are considerably more expensive.
In some instances a narrow electric scissor lift can access tight spaces provided the machine can negotiate traveling around the corners.
Compacted ground or concrete is required to operate Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) on installations as the modern equipment has very sensitive sensors and will not allow the EWP to work on even a gentle slope with out outriggers to stabilise and level the machine.
Taurus Fabric Builds installation teams always have a time margin for adverse weather or site hold-ups when quoting. If there is a constant light wind it will extend the install time considerably. 95% of the time projects will be completed without variations, but occasionally there will be extreme weather events of major site stoppages requiring a pre agreed variation.
